The place was St. Petersburg, FL.  The time was around 10 years of age (so, mid 1980s) my mom and grandmother took me to see the national tour of Singing in the Rain.  Right then and there I knew what I wanted to do.  I wanted to be on stage and “Make ‘em laugh.”  I’m thankful that St. Petersburg High School had a great theatre teacher (I can still hear him snapping his fingers in the house when the pace of rehearsal slowed), and went on to receive a BFA in Music Theatre from Florida State University.  I have deep love for story telling in all of its forms and believe that all forms of entertainment can teach you something, route you in reality or take you on an escape.  My major influences are MGM musicals, The Muppet Show, and the old TV variety shows.  I’m still a Florida boy at heart, but fell in love with a girl from North Dakota, live in NYC and yearn to travel the world entertaining. 

Fun Fact:  I have a passion for good old barbershop harmony and belong to the Voices of Gotham which is Hell’s Kitchen, NY chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society.
